The industry has a moral responsibility to ensure that this philanthropy is more than just lip service and brings maximum benefit to the people and environments most in need. However, we know and understand that philanthropy can only be core to a businesses ethos when it is driven by a commercially successful operation.
When assessing any hotels philanthropy or recommending new projects the following areas are just an example of the things we carry out;
Review and Advise on Existing Benevolent Projects
>> A needs assessment to discover what the most urgent needs in the region are and where help is most required.
>> Assessment of the effectiveness and "value for money" current projects are delivering.
A Philanthropy Strategy
>> Development of a Philanthropy Strategy outlining how, where and through whom, philanthropy should be directed.
>> How this strategy can be monitored and reviewed.
Philanthropy through our Charity
>> Where appropriate, we can discuss the possibility of our charity, Nema Foundation, operating in the hotel's vicinity. This would act as a trusted vehicle through which a hotel can channel their philanthropy with peace of mind.
